Gel polish application steps:
- Cleanse, disinfect, push back the cuticles and remove oils with the PREP nail dehydrator.
- Lightly prime the nail tips with PRIMER or ULTRABOND. Avoid contact with skin and allow to dry for 30 seconds. Tip: apply sparingly to the nail tips.
- Apply base coat to the nails and cure under the lamp*. Apply to the thumbs and cure under the lamp*. Tip: do not file while applying the base coat.
- Apply a thin layer of your chosen colour and cure under the lamp*. Apply a second layer and cure again under the lamp*. Tip: pay attention to the nail edges so a thick layer does not build up on the nail tips; this helps the gel polish last longer.
- Apply a thin, smooth layer of “Crystal Top Coat” to protect the colour. Cure under the lamp*.
- To remove the tacky layer from the “Top”, use the “UV Gel Cleanser” nail cleanser.
For a perfect finish: two layers.
Curing:
- LED lamp 30-60 seconds;
- UV lamp 120 seconds;
*Curing time depends on lamp power (e.g. in a 48W lamp the gel polish sets in as little as 15 seconds).
Gel polish removal (soak-off):
- Remove the top layer with a nail file. Tip: push back the cuticles before using the file, so the top layer comes off more easily.
- Fully soak a wipe with gel polish remover. Place on the entire nail surface and wrap fingers in foil so the product does not evaporate and heat stays inside.
- Leave for 10 minutes, then check the condition. Some colours may need more time. If needed, soak for another 5 minutes.
- Remove the foil from the fingers and gently wipe off the polish with a cuticle pusher or wooden tool. Tip: do not use force when removing the polish. Any residue can be easily buffed away.
Soak-off time: 10-15 min
