Gloves

Nitrile gloves are more resistant to chemicals than latex ones and do not cause latex allergy. Size matters: gloves that are too big make it hard to feel the tool, while gloves that are too small tear at the fingertips.

Masks

An ordinary surgical mask stops larger particles, but fine acrylic dust passes straight through it. If you use an e-file every day, it is worth choosing an FFP2 mask or using a dust extractor together with a mask.

Why it matters

Allergy to uncured acrylate is an occupational disease that makes technicians end their careers. It develops slowly, so the first years without protection often seem harmless.
