Paints and Gels for Nail Art

Paints and gels for nail art – 55 products from €1.60. They differ from regular gel polish in their thickness and pigmentation: a painting gel doesn't run off the brush and covers in a single coat, so you can draw a fine line that won't spread. It's the essential product for drawings, strokes, outlines and patterns. The catalogue includes classic coloured gel paints, white and black for outlines, metallic chrome paints and thinner watercolour-style paints suited to the marble (inclusion) technique. The paints are cured in the lamp like any other gel.

How it differs from gel polish

Gel polish is designed to cover the whole nail in an even layer, so it is thinner and self-levelling. Painting gel is deliberately thick – it holds the shape of the stroke. If you try to draw with regular polish, the line spreads and the outline is lost.

Brushes

Fine lines call for a liner brush with long bristles, strokes for a flat brush, and dots for a dotting tool. After use, the brush must be cleaned with a cleanser: once the gel has hardened, the bristles can't be saved.

Do you need to apply a top coat

Yes. The paints themselves are matte or semi-matte and wear off quickly without a top layer. When applying the top coat over a fresh design, work carefully so you don't smudge the outlines.

Frequently asked questions

Ar galima piešti įprastu geliniu laku?

Galima, bet linija išplis – lakas per skystas. Piešiniams reikia tiršto dažymo gelio.

Kokio teptuko reikia plonoms linijoms?

Liner teptuko su ilgais šeriais. Taškams patogesnis taškinis (dotting) įrankis.

Ar dažus reikia dengti topu?

Taip, be topo piešinys nusitrina. Topą veskite atsargiai, kad nesuteptumėte kontūrų.
