A salon workstation has to withstand moisture, hair dye and constant cleaning – this is the main difference from ordinary furniture.

What matters most is the quality of the hydraulic mechanism and the stability of the swivel. A chair is raised and lowered dozens of times a day, so a cheap cylinder starts losing pressure after just a year. Pay attention to the footrest too – it should be metal, as it is constantly leaned on.

Backwash units

When choosing a backwash unit, the shape of the neck rest is the key factor: the wrong shape becomes uncomfortable for the client within a few minutes. Also check the slope of the basin – the water should drain freely without the client having to be repositioned.

Durability

The upholstery must withstand hair dye. Light upholstery does not last long in a salon, so darker shades are more practical.
