Dual forms let you shape the nail in a single press: the gel is placed in the form, pressed onto the nail and cured – the procedure takes half the time of the classic method. Paper and reusable forms give you more freedom when shaping the arch and length, but they take skill to apply correctly. Tips are glued onto the natural nail and are ideal when you need a quick result or when the natural nail is too short to apply a form.

Dual forms

The fastest method and the most convenient for beginners – the form sets the arch and the C-curve for you. It is important to choose the exact size for each finger, otherwise the nail will turn out too narrow or too wide.

Paper forms

They are placed under the free edge and must fit snugly against the side walls. If a gap remains between the form and the nail, the gel will leak through and the structure will end up crooked.

Tips

They are glued onto the prepared nail, then the join is smoothed with a file or an e-file. Useful when the natural nail is too short – there is simply nowhere to apply a form.
