Makeup chair
In makeup work the client usually sits rather than lies down, which is why a makeup chair is taller than a beauty treatment chair and has firm back support. It is important that the artist can reach the client from both sides and work standing up.
Height
The chair should rise high enough for the client's face to be roughly at your eye level when you are standing. That way you don't have to stoop, and the makeup is applied from a natural angle and looks just as it will when seen from the side.
Backrest
Lash extensions call for a reclining backrest, while straightforward makeup calls for an upright one with back support. Versatile models with an adjustable backrest suit both kinds of work.
Footrest
On a chair raised high, the client's legs dangle, so a footrest is no minor detail – without one, clients start to fidget after twenty minutes.
